When buying a new vacuum, a vacuum cleaner comparison
guide reviewing the ratings for each model whether upright
or otherwise is invaluable!
A vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner
right? Wrong! There are many differences, that you should
compare and review. When thinking about purchasing your vacuum
you need to think about what you want it to do. What kind
of floors will it clean? How often will the vacuum cleaner
be used? What kind of mess will it be cleaning up? Does will
it need to be a wet and dry type of vacuum that can clean
up liquid spills as well as solid ones. Does it need to be
able to lift pet hair from shag pile carpet? How big is the
area you will be using the vacuum on – domestic or industrial?
How heavy is the vacuum – it’s not just the carrying,
you’ll need to be able to push and pull it easily whilst
it cleans your floors. These are all factors you should consider
when comparing and reviewing vacuums.
Many companies will give you comparison charts or a vacuum
cleaner rating system showing you how their models of
vacuums differentiate from each other. Usually starting with
the basic model vacuum and working up towards the most sophisticated
model they have. This is usually set out as a table with the
model numbers across the top, and the features down the side.
The table consists of ticks for which every feature each vacuum
has. This is great, but it only shows the products of one
vacuum manufacturer.
The best comparison charts will be found in consumer report
magazines, or women’s magazines which do consumer goods
comparisons and ratings on various products from automobile
to cordless hand held vacuums.
Find one of these which has vacuums in it and you’ll
see one vacuum manufacturer’s brand compared and rated
with others. This lets you review and do compariosns on the
strengths and weaknesses of each vacuum across a range of
different companies, as compared by unbiased people.
